Are we a separate people?

1 Peter ch 2 V 9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light”.

Duet 14 2 for you are a people holy to the LORD your God. Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the LORD has chosen you to be his treasured possession.

As citizens of the kingdom of God we have rights and obligations to each other and our King.
